Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Puzzle Walkthrough — Safe Haven Strategy (No Spoilers)
Chapter 4’s puzzles punish players who rush, repeat mistakes, or try to solve puzzles while enemies are nearby.
This guide explains how to think, not “where to click”.
You’ll learn how Chapter 4 puzzles function, so you can solve them naturally and avoid death loops.
The Core Rule — Solve Before You Move
Safe Haven puzzles do not reward exploration first.
They reward preparation.
Before interacting:
- Look for power points
- Identify doors or panels
- Check line-of-sight angles
- Choose your escape direction
Players who solve while being hunted die quickly.
Solve with intent → move with purpose.

Puzzle Types in Chapter 4
Chapter 4 uses three foundational puzzle categories:
Power Transfer Puzzles
These are Omni-Hand puzzles that redirect current from one terminal to another.
The mistake:
Players connect from Point A → B → C in a straight line.
Correct approach:
- Power → environment → objective
- Use walls, corners, and support beams
- Avoid exposed open areas
Power paths are designed to force you to reposition.
Sequence Puzzles
These require input order, not speed.
Players panic and rush:
- Pressing wrong sequences
- Interacting mid-chase
- Trial-and-error guessing
Chapter 4 punishes guessing.
Strategy:
- Observe pattern
- Practice the input mentally
- Execute slowly
- Reset calmly if needed
You win with patience, not reflex.
Environmental Switch Puzzles
Doors, vents, lights, gravity lifts, etc.
These puzzles demand:
- Correct angle
- Correct timing
- Correct cover
Your mistake isn’t the wrong answer —
it’s solving in the enemy’s vision zone.

Omni-Hand Puzzle Strategy
Omni-Hand is your core tool.
Stop thinking of it as “the grab tool.”
It is an electrical routing device.
Golden Rules:
- Charge behind cover
- Disconnect only after path stabilizes
- Never charge mid-chase
- Reset angles before activating nodes
Think like an electrician, not a player.
Puzzle Zones & Enemy Pressure
Chapter 4 puzzle rooms are not safe rooms.
Enemies do not respect puzzle spaces.
Follow these three rules:
Never begin a puzzle in silence
If an enemy is in the zone:
- Trigger movement → break angle → then solve
Silence = ambush.
Do not solve in hallways
Hallways are death funnels.
Always use:
- corners
- pillars
- blind angles
- railings
Hallways give enemies line-of-sight priority.
If you hear audio cues, stop
The game is warning you.
Reset your route or wait.
Audio > speed > ego.
Multi-Step Puzzle Strategy
Chapter 4 frequently introduces multi-stage puzzles:
Players do:
- Step A → Step B → Step C → chased → die
Pros do:
- Scout → test → solve in bursts
Method:
- Explore safely, not deeply
- Memorize node positions
- Solve the puzzle in two cycles:
- Cycle 1 = understand
- Cycle 2 = execute
Do not attempt “first try” solves.
The game is designed to punish it.
Reset Behavior (When You Fail)
If you trigger an enemy during a puzzle:
- Do NOT restart the puzzle
- Do NOT re-route in panic
- Do NOT run straight
Instead:
- Break sightline
- Sprint 2–3 seconds
- Enter a wide space
- Reset movement rhythm
Once the AI loses tracking → return to puzzle.
How to Recognize a Trap Puzzle
Safe Haven uses trap puzzles intentionally.
Signs of traps:
- Puzzle sits in the middle of long corridors
- Omni-Hand terminal exposed to 360° vision
- Pressure switches in acoustic echo zones
If it feels unsafe → it is.
Move the engagement to:
- the left side of the room
- behind large props
- elevated ledges
- stair corners
Puzzle Execution Patterns (Elite Method)
These patterns win runs:
“Split Solve”
- Connect power node
- Retreat
- Check enemy audio
- Continue from new angle
“Corner Solve”
Work only in zones with 90° cover.
If an enemy appears, turn — not run.
“Shadow Solve”
Activate terminals positioned behind objects.
Enemies rarely path-check obscured interaction zones.
You don’t need a big room.
You need blocked vision.
What Not To Do
(These mistakes kill most players)
- Solving in straight corridors
- Activating Omni-Hand in full view
- Completing puzzles before scouting exits
- Ignoring sound cues
- Solving while sprinting
- Returning to previous routes constantly
Safe Haven punishes habits.
Final Principles
Solve puzzles like an engineer, not a speedrunner.
- Learn rooms
- Respect audio
- Break angles
- Use cover
- Execute with intent
Chapter 4 rewards the player who solves puzzles quietly and methodically, not the one who forces outcomes.
